Trudie Nagle

Where did you grow up and go to primary and secondary school?
I was actually born in Warragul hospital and I grew up in Drouin. I went to Drouin Primary and then Drouin Secondary School. I am one of five children, so between us all, we kept mum and dad pretty busy!
Where did you go to university?
At the time, it was called Ballarat University of Advanced Education. But, I think it has now changed its name to Federation University. Four years living in Ballarat………….Brrrrrrrrr! Student housing and frozen pipes, meant plenty of mornings without a hot shower!
How long have you been involved in education?
Loads of years! I started my teaching (as a PE and Outdoor Education teacher) in North West Victoria and have spent most of my time in the North East of Victoria.
I have worked in both the secondary and the primary systems. Being an Assistant Principal at Numurkah Secondary and Principal at Cobram Primary and of course now at 754.
What do you like to do with your spare time?
I love all types of sport (not Boxing), but in particular Collingwood! I play golf now, but I have always played softball and hockey, when i could “run” – prior to 2 knee reconstructions! Ouch! Softball would remain, favourite sport of all. Recently I adored the chance to watch Baseball live in the USA. I would have enjoyed going to a game everyday!
I am a mad dog person, so I get great delight out of walking and playing with my 2 dogs – a Dalmatian and a Labrador.
