Welcome
Hello, and welcome to 754! We are a school that celebrates a long and proud history – being built in 1864 and our beautiful building is classified by the National Trust.
Our school values are locally known as the 3R’s. Respect, Responsibility and Resilience, all 3 being key characteristics of our school ethos and also lifelong characteristics too! We are a strong SWPBS (School Wide Positive Behaviour System school) which allows us to focus on the 3R’s to promote our positive culture. We want our children to be accepting and respectful of all people, we all come in different shapes, sizes and types! Be responsible for their actions and the consequences of them, whether they are good choices or not! Role modelling being resilient, try and try again and if you fall down – hop up, dust yourself “off” and have another go! In our school yard we encourage students to bring along bikes and scooters to ride and have fun – we love to see kids climb and challenge themselves, building cubbies as little engineers and truly explore the time for fun and adventure at school. Our school buildings are well maintained, with spacious classrooms, a science centre, Multi Purpose hall, music room and library too. The school is well resourced with every child being provided with a laptop to ensure we are keeping up with the “new and ever changing world” around us. At 754 we expect excellence in teaching practice, I’m sure that you expect nothing less for your children and I encourage you to “check out” our staff profiles. We have an extensive extra-curriculum program of sports, camps, sailing and more. Please feel free to contact the school, and I am very happy to take families around our great school for a tour any time – In fact that’s one of my favourite times of the day.
