Student Leadership/ Student Voice and Agency

Our students at 754 have many opportunities for leadership and personal growth. Each semester the student body (Grades 3 to 6) will elect 4 school captains. These captains run our Monday morning assemblies and also represent the school at formal events, such as Anzac Day etc
Our captains also attend each School Council meeting to report back on the previous months work.
We have a student peer mentor program in the development at the moment, as we hope to have this in full swing by Semester 2 of this year.
Each week a grade is allocated to report via the newsletter on how their learning have been going during the past week or they may report back on a special event that has occurred.
At each Monday morning assembly one of our grades will present a small “item” on one of the 3R’s. Respect, Responsibility or Resilience, during the SWPBS part of our assembly, forming the focus for the class lesson for the week.
